San Francisco’s quarterback Colin Kaepernick would love to have a reset button after a rough outing Sunday against Arizona. He was intercepted four times, being twice victimized by Cardinals’ defensive back Tyrann Mathieu. Mathieu and teammate Justin Bethel each had a interception returned for a touchdown in Arizona’s 47-7 blowout victory over the 49ers.

Former Alabama safety Rashad Johnson totaled six solo tackles (second on team) and was smooth in run support, holding San Francisco to 103 rushing yards on 29 carries. Kaepernick completed nine of 19 passes (47.4 percent) for 67 yards against Arizona’s defensive backfield.

The Cardinals improve to 3-0 with the win and are now 2-0 at home this season.

It takes on the St. Louis Rams next week in a tough NFC West Division matchup.
