Things are going from bad to worse for former Alabama standout Trent Richardson.
SportsCenter and ESPN’s Oakland Raiders correspondent Bill Williamson both reported via Twitter that Oakland has cut the former third overall pick (2012 NFL Draft) from its roster.

Prior to Oakland, Richardson played his first four seasons in Cleveland and Indianapolis.
He has a career average of 3.3 yards per carry, and logged 3.1 yards per tote in two seasons with the Colts (2013-14). Frustration between Richardson and the front office in Indianapolis led to him being waived from the franchise on Mar. 12, 2015. Five days later, the Raiders reached out to him. Richardson signed a two-year deal worth $3.9 million.
He’s now a free agent again.
Richardson won two national championships (2009, 2011) and a Southeastern Conference title in 2009 at Alabama, but can’t seem to find consistency in the National Football League.
